ROLE: Social Media Coordinator (Full-Time or Part-Time)

LOCATION:  Vancouver, BC (no remote applications please)


We’re looking for a Social Media Coordinator to join our growing team! Seeking a passionate storyteller, strategic thinker, and skilled communicator who has a relentless curiosity for fashion and keen attention to detail.

As a Social Media Coordinator for Shady Lady Eyewear, you will be responsible for growing our social media platforms, content creation and increasing sales. An in-depth knowledge of ALL things social media is required with particular strengths in: Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest.

Shady Lady is a small but growing company that needs someone who can wear multiple hats. In addition to social media, you will be responsible for managing our influencer outreach programs and working with the ecommerce/marketing teams to create website/visual content. The ideal candidate has skills in digital strategy, brand marketing and basic graphic design.


  • Knowledge of all social media platforms and sales optimization

  • A good creative eye; confident in curating inspirational content with a playful voice/message

  • Experience with Adobe, Shopify and Canva

  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, Powerpoint

  • An excellent eye for photography, videography, graphic design skills and copy skills

  • Works well within teams and is always down to jam for ideas

  • General understanding of influencer marketing and relationship management

  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written, basic customer service skills

  • Internet and technology savvy

  • Early adopter who is in touch with current events and pop culture

  • Loves working a team oriented fast-paced growth-stage environment


  • Monitor our social channels to foster our community; identify and assist with any customer service issues

  • Source new influencers to partner with and use organic engagement to build a relationship

  • Manage influencer gifting records and shipments

  • Check our daily sales on Shopify and make marketing recommendations based on our top-selling products

  • Create and manage social media calendar and schedule content on social platforms

  • Curate daily Instagram stories to engage our customers and drive sales and engagement

  • Collaborate with the team to create videos for TikTok & Instagram Reels to promote products

  • Record and capture behind the scenes content to share on social media

  • Visit our retailers and create engaging social media content to help promote their stores

  • Curate and update creative web and email marketing content

  • Assist shipping department when needed

  • Update seasonal linesheets and various in-house marketing/brand files/visuals
